When entering cities, towns, and even institutes, you will find doors that you can't pass through. Below are examples of doors and how to access them:
Boarded Doors - Requires 1 Stone Axe
Chained Doors - Requires 1 Wrench
Coded Doors - Requires electronic items (electric wire, fasteners, etc.)
Using these items will greatly reduce its value! Most items will break after one use, when attempting to break doors. If you're still puzzled, you can find more tips in the FAQ, or submit a ticket if you come across a glitch or two. You'll never know what you'll find, good luck Survivor!
